The model on the right wears a ‘silk organza tunic and plastic-coated silk asymmetric hipster skirt’, valued at $1800 for the set. In this issue Cathrin Schaer also notes that fashion has made it into the universities as a credible field of study in marketing, sociology and dress history. The cover title for this 1999 issue reads: ‘Glamour is Back’, a far cry from the grunge fashions of the early 1990s.
