Abstract
Darrell K. Sweet (1934-2011) is renowned for painting character-driven covers for the SF books he illustrates. Over his career, which started with his first SF commission in 1975, Sweet has painted over 3000 images for novels and magazines. In Jack L. Chalker’s comic fantasy, And the Devil Will Drag You Under, the alcoholic demon Asmodeus Mogart sits behind a bottle of ‘Jack Chalker’ whiskey.
