Murray Tinkelman (b. 1933) is an artist, art historian and Emeritus Professor out of Syracuse University, New York. The image he created for John Brunner’s The Shockwave Rider, is a fine example of the detailed and almost photographically detailed line drawing that he favours. Writer, poet and essayist Brunner (1934-95) had his first novel published when aged 17.
