Verso in pencil: No 5. This sketch is taken from a high tableland overlooking the Waiongoro River towards the sea. A redoubt is on the left of this sketch - the left of the camp - a Maori fishing village in centre - Two horsemen shew the ford - a bridge is completed by canoes higher up the river - the table land is probably 350 feet above the sea.
