Abstract
One of the few female artists working in the SF and Fantasy art world is Rowena Morrill (b. 1944). Morrill began her freelance career by illustrating horror novels, especially the posthumously published works of H. P. Lovecraft (d. 1937). She has also completed cover art for Theodore Sturgeon, Philip K. Dick and Harry Harrison; and apparently Saddam Hussein was a fan – her artwork was found on the walls of his home in Iraq in 2012.
