Abstract

Emma Mellor visited Dunedin in 1945 and arranged for papers, photographs, books, and ceramics from the Mellor estate to go to Special Collections, University of Otago, the Otago Museum, and the Heritage Collections, Dunedin Public Library. Some 78 ceramics went to the Otago Museum, including a small gold flambé vase, a silver wedding vase from Pilkinton, Manchester, a coffee cup and saucer from Limoges, France, an American glass candlestick, and a crude vase made in Assisi, Italy. Also in the Mellor gift was this decorative Japanese bowl.
