Handbook with Pharmacy recipes
Dr Roy Gardner: Personal papers, 95-181/008. Hocken Archives and Manuscripts
Traditionally pharmacists would compound a great range of medicines themselves. They also had their own recipes for many of these medicines so their medicines were unique in comparison to those made by other pharmacists. This New Zealand handbook, from 1913 to 1917, shows examples of some of these recipes.
